on a snowy day

Lot of whiteness in this post! Not very different from how it looks this morning after a full day of snowfall. I am safely tucked inside piecing this quilt top.

shining moon and twinkling stars

not so cuddly porcupines and mouthwatering mushrooms

flying birds and passing clouds

pink llamas in a flowering field,

..all have found their place in the quilt top. Since I pretty much did what I liked with the blocks, it was only fair to add some of Kalyan's favorite things in the borders. Luckily, I found all these critters hiding in my stash.

Hope your day has been warm and cozy! ( ' v ' )

Is there a better way to spend a snow day than playing with fabric? I love the subtle colors -- meek and mild but each sweet piece has a voice of their own. What a fun stash you have. Stay warm.

I KNEW that I would adore this piece, and I do. Cannot wait to see it finished - it's fantastic.

Your quilt is really taking shape, Pratima! Such fun prints and something to keep you cozy while the snow is falling. How nice to include some of Kalyan's favorite thing, too!
Cheers!

Lovely quilt. It's going to brighten any room. I've been meaning to do something with a lot of white in it and I can see it coming up on the horizon (of my mind). But speaking of horizon, we, up here in the PNW, hope you are warm and cozy....because we're knee deep in snow and ffffrrrrreeeeezzzzzziiiiiinnnnngggggg. Brrrrrrrrr.
