Wishing peace and love to our beloved city, Vancouver modern quilt guild is planning an exhibition of flags to be strung into banners and displayed in Boston in early June 2013. More details and a tutorial to make the banner are on their website.
It is very touching to see banners come in from all corners wrapped in healing thoughts and prayers of fellow crafters. I just mailed this one.

Many warm hearts make the world a healing place.
Boston is such a melting pot of people. And such a strong city. I think it is so amazing how different people come together that don't know each other after something so awful happens. It is as if the worst act of a human brings out the best in people.
What a wonderful way to honor the victims, Pratima!
